On an island where lost souls drift between worlds, a ferry is the only way out—but no passenger is allowed to bring luggage.

When two strangers meet—one unable to leave, the other unable to stay—they must confront the baggage they’ve spent a lifetime holding onto before the ferry can take them beyond.

Director's Note

Somewhere Towards the Beyond is a poetic meditation on attachment and the difficult act of letting go. I wanted to imagine a world between life and death where the things we carry with us become the very things that keep us from moving forward.

The film grew from a personal reflection on how something born from the heart can quietly become a cage. Through a surreal landscape suspended between departure and arrival, I explore that fragile space between holding on and finding the courage to let go.
